BB&D attorney Robert Blitz successfully defended the Kansas City-St. Louis Regional Carpenters Council on appeal from the dismissal of a lawsuit brought by a former business agent. The lawsuit centered around allegations of wrongful termination implicating a complex area of federal law governing unions under the Labor-Management Reporting and Disclosure Act. The plaintiff attempted to bring twenty-eight separate claims in the lawsuit. Relying on their vast experience in both employment litigation and complex business litigation, BB&D secured the dismissal of all claims. On appeal, the Missouri Eastern District Court of Appeals agreed with BB&D and affirmed the dismissal.
