Each year, Missouri Lawyers Weekly solicits nominations from the profession at large for Attorney of the Year, and the recipient for 2016 is Robert Blitz. Not surprisingly, announcement of the award prominently featured Bob’s contribution to maintaining St. Louis as an NFL city through his work on the St. Louis Stadium Task Force, to which he was nominated by Governor Nixon over a year ago. Part of Bob’s contribution featured a string of litigation successes related to the stadium development in different cases in different circuit courts, including a ruling concerning a city ordinance that threatened to derail the entire stadium project. The award announcement also mentioned that Bob’s stadium success occurred while he maintained his normal legal practice, which included prevailing in a multi-million dollar trust case in the circuit court of St. Louis County.
Congratulations to Bob on the culmination of so much effort and the recognition of an outstanding year!
